Job Title

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Reliability Engineer to join our team.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to design and develop service level agreements (SLAs), service level objectives (SLOs), and service level indicators (SLIs) for services within the business unit. You will be involved in the entire development process, including system maintenance, monitoring, automation, backend operation, ensuring high availability, regular application release, troubleshooting, middleware performance tuning, and collaborating with functional and technical team members to provide high-quality services.

You will automate routine manual production/non-production operations using technologies like Ansible, Chef, etc. Propose and implement automation to increase productivity and quality. Continuously improve system performance and reliability. Take ownership of services and proactively react to production issues. Propose new technologies, tools, and best practices to improve the development, testing, and production operations process.

Responsibilities
  • Design and develop SLAs, SLOs, and SLIs for services within the business unit.
  • Involve in the entire development process, including system maintenance, monitoring, automation, backend operation, ensuring high availability, regular application release, troubleshooting, middleware performance tuning, and collaborating with functional and technical team members to provide high-quality services.
  • Automate routine manual production/non-production operations using technologies like Ansible, Chef, etc.

Requirements
  • Must-have:
  • Over 8 years of experience in site reliability engineering (SRE), handling high-traffic production systems independently, troubleshooting middleware and infrastructure, automation, regular operations, etc.
  • Implement site reliability engineering principles regarding performance, reliability, monitoring, alerting in production environments.
  • Experience in managing large-scale services.
  • Experience in designing and constructing public clouds, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Good knowledge of continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD)/continuous testing (CT) pipelines using tools like Jenkins/Bamboo and version control systems like Git/SVN.
  • Strong knowledge of Linux-based system operations and extensive skills in Linux commands.
  • Hands-on experience with Unix/Linux/Shell/Python scripting.
  • Experience with automation/configuration management using tools like Terraform, Puppet, Chef, Ansible.
  • Experience in developing and operating systems like Kubernetes, Nginx, ELK stack, Hadoop, etc.
  • Identify process gaps and recommend best practices based on industry standards.
  • Provide technical expertise on complex automation and functional issues.
  • Flexible emergency support timing based on business requirements.
