API Integration Specialist

We are seeking a seasoned professional to craft, implement and maintain robust API-based integrations across various enterprise platforms. This role requires an in-depth understanding of technical expertise in REST/SOAP APIs, middleware, and experience integrating applications in regulated environments such as life sciences or healthcare.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement scalable API integrations between systems (e.g., LIMS, SAP, Veeva Vault, UAM, MES).
  • Develop and maintain interface specifications, API documentation, and error-handling workflows.
  • Collaborate with integration tools/middleware like MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, Informatica, or Apigee.
  • Work closely with business and IT teams to understand integration needs and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Evaluate API solutions against GxP, 21 CFR Part 11, and data integrity standards.
  • Perform troubleshooting, testing, and validation of integrations across environments.
  • Support performance optimization, monitoring, and versioning of APIs.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 4-10 years of experience in API development and integration, preferably in regulated domains.
  • Proficiency with RESTful/SOAP APIs, JSON/XML, Middleware/integration platforms, and API management tools.
  • Strong understanding of data mapping, interface orchestration, and exception handling.
  • Familiarity with pharma systems is a strong plus.
  • Working knowledge of GxP, CSV, and compliance frameworks.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Middleware/API certifications are an advantage.
