FPGA Engineer Intern Job Description

As a FPGA Engineer Intern, you will play a key role in developing and maintaining critical components of our Virtual FPGA technology. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a globally-distributed team at the forefront of cloud computing.

Our mission is to integrate Virtual FPGA technology with Kubernetes, revolutionizing high-performance computing. You will be part of a fast-paced, evolving environment where your work will have a direct and visible impact on our success.

  • Develop and maintain critical components of the static shell for our Virtual FPGA technology.
  • Architect and implement high-performance cybersecurity applications that push the boundaries of what's possible on our platform.
  • Collaborate on system design, performance analysis, and integration in a constantly evolving codebase.

Through this internship, you will gain deep, practical knowledge of FPGA virtualization and Dynamic Function eXchange (DFX). You will also develop hands-on experience in developing sophisticated, high-performance networking and cybersecurity applications.

In addition to technical skills, you will receive direct mentorship from industry veterans in hardware and cloud computing.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you must possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a Master's or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • Experience in FPGA system development, particularly with AMD/Xilinx FPGAs.
  • Proficiency in Verilog and/or SystemVerilog.
  • Strong understanding of network protocols (e.g., Ethernet, TCP/IP, UDP).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with AMD/Xilinx Versal devices.
  • Dynamic Function eXchange (DFX) expertise.
  • Advanced networking technologies (RDMA, DPDK).
