Senior Financial Analyst

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Financial Analyst to join our team.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 4 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, with strong technical knowledge and excellent written English communication skills.

They will be able to independently own and manage complex financial tasks, work within a fast-paced environment, and contribute meaningfully to the strategic development of advice solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Analysis & Advice Support:
    • Prepare compliant and technically sound financial reports and recommendations.
    • Conduct detailed financial modelling and product analysis.
    • Use financial software to construct financial models and reports in line with industry standards.
  • Strategy Paper Development:
    • Build and draft comprehensive financial strategy papers, clearly outlining the rationale, benefits, risks, and implementation approach for recommended strategies.
    • Translate complex financial scenarios into clear, client-ready written strategies.
    • Collaborate with colleagues to refine and present strategy documentation during the financial planning process.
  • Implementation & Client Workflow:
    • Execute full pre-boarding, onboarding, and implementation of client financial strategies.
    • Manage rollovers, contributions, investment switches, and other financial actions from end to end.
    • Communicate with clients and providers to ensure accuracy and timeliness of all implementation tasks.
  • Systems & Process Management:
    • Use financial software for financial production and CRM tracking.
    • Leverage business tools to manage workflows, automation, and communications.
    • Identify and improve operational bottlenecks to drive efficiency.
Requirements
  • Minimum 4 years' experience in financial planning or analysis roles.
  • Strong understanding of Australian financial regulations, compliance, and client strategy.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing detailed financial strategy papers and recommendations.
  • Advanced working knowledge of financial software (mandatory) and business tools (preferred).
  • Excellent written English and technical communication skills.
  • Strong time management and task prioritisation skills.
  • Proven ability to take ownership, work autonomously, and deliver results at a high standard.
  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field (preferred but not essential).
