Job Title: Bid ManagerAbout the Role

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the sales effort for new equipment globally. This position involves reviewing client requests for quotation (RFQ), performing equipment selections, configuring and proposing optimized solutions, and preparing buyout RFQs.

Responsibilities
  • Review and analyze client RFQs to determine the best course of action.
  • Perform equipment selections using company engineering tools or other selection tools as applicable.
  • Configure and propose optimized solutions with a tangible value proposition.
  • Prepare buyout RFQs and evaluate vendor responses.
  • Coordinate cost analysis and pricing.
  • Establish payment milestones and ensure alignment with sub-supplier payment terms.
  • Perform cash flow analysis.
  • Work with regional coordination groups, operation-based departments, and shared services to identify and quantify risks.
  • Develop mitigating actions to those risks and prepare technical/execution risk assessment forms.
  • Request guidance from sales managers or opportunity leaders on commercial risks.
  • Coordinate proposal bill of material, system drawing, and project schedule.
  • Maintain sales force CRM tool for bid management-related tasks.
  • Assist sales managers in developing technical and commercial strategies for order collection.
  • Participate in development of quantified value propositions.
  • Integrate technical activities, product, and services in proposals to meet deadlines.
  • Review proposal process for compliance with established processes.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities within proposal development and implement process improvements.
  • Complete risk and opportunity analysis prior to issuing new equipment proposals.
  • Review pricing for compliance with established screens and price/scope agreement.
  • Coordinate client clarification meetings.
Requirements
  • 7-15 years of relevant work experience in mechanical, electrical, or chemical engineering.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft suite and select engineering programs.
  • Excellent written, verbal communications, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English language.
  • Bilingual and international experience are a plus.
  • Domestic and international travel required for training, project presentations, bid clarification, and project kick-off meetings.
Estimated Salary Range

The estimated salary range for this position is between ₹1,200,000 and ₹2,500,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
