Senior Bookkeeper Role

As a senior bookkeeper, you will be responsible for the day-to-day financial management of multiple locations. Your primary goal is to maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, ensure timely period closes, and provide expert guidance on financial performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintaining standardized charts of accounts by brand and ensuring daily posting and month-end close for multiple locations.
  • Reconciling bank, credit card, and merchant accounts, as well as third-party delivery or marketplace deposits.
  • Matching POS sales to deposits and resolving over/short cash variances.
  • Integrating and reconciling data from various POS systems, such as Toast, Square, Clover, Lightspeed, Revel, and Shopify POS.

You will also be responsible for managing revenue, COGS, and inventory, including recording daily sales summaries, tracking inventory/COGS and waste, and managing deferred revenue and redemptions.

In addition, you will run three-way matches for vendor bills, process payments and credit memos, manage W-9 collections and 1099-NEC vendor lists, and set and monitor cash-handling controls and deposit cadence.

Furthermore, you will prepare payroll inputs, reconcile payroll journals, and coordinate with providers, track labor % by location/department, and accrue payroll taxes/benefits as needed.

Lastly, you will support compliance and taxes by preparing sales/use tax workpapers across states, coordinating e-filings, and maintaining audit-ready records.
