Job Overview

The position of Transition Manager is responsible for overseeing the transition process to ensure a smooth handover of projects from one team to another.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage active transitions as assigned and serve as the primary point of contact for all stakeholders.
  • Support project teams as the first escalation point for internal and customer issues, providing guidance and resources as needed.
  • Drive governance calls and meetings to facilitate communication and collaboration between teams.
  • Plan, conduct, and manage relevant trainings to enhance the skills and knowledge of the transitions team.
  • Participate in assessments to identify training needs and develop strategies to address them.
  • Understand business objectives and work with stakeholders to define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
  • Collaborate in the creation and review of transition solutions for RFPs/RFIs and provide pre-sales support as needed.
  • Identify business cases, define project tasks and resource requirements, and develop detailed project charters, plans, and transition plans.
  • Combine process migration activities with IT implementation to achieve seamless transitions.
  • Optimize the transition methodology by reducing time, costs, risks, and improving quality.
  • Responsible for risk management, understanding business and operational risks, and developing mitigation plans and executing them. Additionally, responsible for driving process-specific business continuity planning.
  • Create and maintain project management documents including status reports, project plans, knowledge transfer documentation, and requisite approvals on Clarity.
  • Participate in opportunity analysis and due diligence of potential projects, supporting solutioning of new bids/RFP-RFI responses/client presentations and sales cycles.
Requirements:
  • Strong leadership and project management skills with the ability to oversee multiple transitions simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to analyze complex business problems and develop effective solutions.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software with experience in implementing and managing large-scale projects.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and best practices in project management.
