The role of a Business Development Manager involves driving sales growth and revenue expansion in the engineering and construction sectors.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and execute business development strategies to achieve sales targets
- Analyze market trends, identify opportunities and create sales plans to capitalize on them
- Bid on new projects, negotiate with clients, and secure contracts
- Build relationships with existing and prospective clients to drive repeat business and referrals
- Monitor competitor activities and stay up-to-date on industry developments
- Prepare and present reports to management on sales performance and future prospects
To succeed in this role, you will need strong communication and negotiation skills. Regular travel is required to meet with clients, inspect project sites, and engage with potential partners. A degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering, coupled with 1-5 years of experience in business development or marketing, is highly desirable.
