MEP CAD Technician

This position is accountable for supporting the creation and delivery of Mechanical, Electrical, and Public Health (MEP) services by preparing precise 2D and 3D CAD drawings and models.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare detailed 2D drawings and 3D models of mechanical, electrical, and public health systems in AutoCAD and/or Revit (BIM).
  • Collaborate with MEP Engineers and Designers to translate design concepts into coordinated drawings.
  • Ensure drawings meet project requirements, building regulations, industry standards, and company CAD/BIM protocols.
  • Assist in the development of coordinated services drawings, clash detection, and model updates.
  • Maintain drawing registers, file management systems, and revision control.
  • Support project teams in producing tender, construction, and as-built drawings.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD (essential) and Revit MEP/BIM (desired).
  • Experience in preparing MEP drawings and understanding of building services design.
  • Familiarity with British Standards, Building Regulations, and industry codes of practice.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to manage workload, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.
