Structural Draftsman Job

We are looking for a skilled BIM Structural Draftsman to support our structural engineering team by preparing accurate and detailed BIM models and structural drawings.

  • Key Responsibilities:

  • BIM Modeler: Prepare structural drawings and 3D BIM models using Revit and AutoCAD based on engineering markups and design requirements.

  • Collaboration: Coordinate and collaborate with architects, MEP, and other engineering disciplines to ensure model consistency.

  • Shop Drawings: Produce accurate shop drawings, detailed sections, and reinforcement detailing as required.

  • BIM Management: Maintain BIM models and update them as needed through the lifecycle of the project.

  • Quality Control: Ensure quality control of drafted output and manage drawing revisions.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or related field is required. We prefer candidates with at least [3-5] years of experience as a structural draftsman, with at least [2] years using BIM/Revit.
  • Proficiency in Revit Structure, AutoCAD, and familiarity with Navisworks is essential.
  • Solid knowledge of structural systems (RC, steel, post-tensioning, etc.) and detailing standards is required.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications is necessary.
  • Good communication and coordination skills are required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in Revit or BIM is a plus.
  • Familiarity with ISO 19650 or other BIM standards is advantageous.
  • Experience working in consultant or contractor environments in the UAE or GCC region is beneficial.
