The position of Bioprocess Development Scientist is an exciting opportunity to join our team and contribute to the development of innovative bioprocessing solutions.

  1. Skillfully support upstream process development, scale-up, and characterization for monoclonal antibody (mAb) manufacturing. Develop and establish scalable and robust processes to meet desired product yield and quality standards.
  2. Assess risks and plan for risk mitigation strategies during process development and scale-up. Collaborate with cross-functional teams within R&D and other departments for technical discussions related to process development, technology transfer, and process improvement.
  3. Participate in technology transfer activities, coordinating with program management and cross-functional teams to deliver on program timelines. Support regulatory dossier filing and audits.
  4. Maintain scientific awareness of the latest advancements in science and technology, bioprocessing. Apply statistical knowledge to use Quality by Design (QbD) and Design of Experiments (DOE) concepts in upstream development.
  5. Analyze data thoroughly to assess upstream data and inform technical decisions. Record and review raw data according to Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
  6. Prepare work presentations, write technical documents (process protocols, technical/development reports), and procedures (Standard Operating Procedures/IOPs/EOPs). Coordinate lab activities smoothly within and across teams.

This is a critical role requiring expertise in one of the following areas:

  1. Omics technologies – Metabolomics, Metabolic Flux Analysis
  2. Bioprocess modeling – Metabolic modeling, process modeling, digital twin for bioreactor or cells
  3. CFD – Computational fluid dynamics to better understand and simulate bioreactor mixing
