Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Disaster Recovery professional to join our team. As a key member of the IT department, you will be responsible for ensuring business continuity and minimizing downtime in the event of a disaster.

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced individual to take on a critical role in supporting our organization's overall mission.

Your primary responsibility will be to develop and implement comprehensive disaster recovery plans, procedures, and strategies that align with business objectives.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify potential risks and vulnerabilities, and develop mitigation strategies to ensure minimal disruption to business operations.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Developing and maintaining business continuity plans, including risk assessments and emergency response protocols.
  • Coordinating with IT teams to ensure seamless implementation of disaster recovery solutions.
  • Conducting regular training and awareness sessions to ensure staff are equipped to respond effectively in the event of a disaster.
  • Reviewing and updating disaster recovery plans to ensure they remain relevant and effective.

In addition to your technical skills, you will need excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders across the organization.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in disaster recovery, business continuity, or a related field.
  • Excellent understanding of disaster recovery principles, technologies, and best practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
