Senior Property Accountant

Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Property Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year of accounting experience specifically within the real estate industry, with proficiency in US/UK accounting software.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
  • Accounts Payable/Receivable: Manage all aspects of accounts payable and receivable, including timely processing of invoices and payments.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, providing insights to support financial planning.
  • General Ledger Maintenance: Maintain the general ledger, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards specific to the real estate industry.
  • Property Management Support: Collaborate with property management teams to provide financial insights and support for property operations.
  • Software Utilization: Effectively use US/UK accounting software to manage financial data and generate reports.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience: 5+ year of accounting experience in the real estate industry.
  • Software Skills: Proficiency with US/UK accounting software (e.g., Yardi, Entrata).
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and generate meaningful reports.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of accounting work.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of real estate accounting.
  • Experience with property management software.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.

This role requires a highly skilled and organized individual who can effectively manage financial data and provide valuable insights to support business decisions.
