Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Power Technology Lead to join our team at Tata Electronics Private Limited. This is a unique opportunity to lead the development of cutting-edge power technologies and drive innovation in the semiconductor industry.

About Us

Tata Electronics Private Limited is a greenfield venture of the Tata Group, specializing in manufacturing precision components. We are building India's first AI-enabled state-of-the-art Semiconductor Foundry, producing chips for various applications such as power management ICs, display drivers, microcontrollers, and high-performance computing logic.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Integration of 40-110nm BCD and HV (Display Driver) technologies from partner facilities while achieving performance, reliability, yield, schedule, and cost targets.
  • Supporting initial ramp while maintaining yield and quality metrics.
  • Adding features (active devices and passives) to existing technologies and creating new technologies that improve performance and extend application range.
  • Leading Wide Band Gap Power technologies.
  • Designing and laying out test chips to aid in device/technology optimization, reliability assessment, and SPICE model extraction.
  • End-to-end Project Management from initial project justification to final qualification and yield ramp with responsibilities for achieving desired performance, quality/yield, schedule, and cost targets.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • M.S or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or equivalent.
  • Strong understanding of CMOS and Power device physics, process modules, yield improvement, failure mechanisms, analytical techniques (physical and electrical).
  • Understanding of EDMOS/LDMOS device design trade-offs using resurf and superjunction concepts.
  • Deep knowledge of power technology parameters and figures of merit (Rsp, RonQg, SOA, etc); experience in achieving competitive performance.
  • Proven track record in delivering these technologies into volume manufacturing.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and achieve project completion within timeline and cost targets.
  • Ability to work across different cultures and geographies.
  • Good team player.
