Cloud Data Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Data Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing, building, and optimizing scalable data pipelines and architectures on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

  • Create highly efficient and secure data pipelines on GCP using Google Cloud Storage, BigQuery, and Airflow.
  • Develop robust ETL/ELT processes in Python and integrate with data orchestration tools like Airflow.
  • Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Optimize BigQuery performance through efficient schema design, partitioning, clustering, and query optimization.
  • Manage and maintain data lake and data warehouse environments to ensure data integrity and availability.
  • Automate and monitor data pipelines for consistent and reliable data delivery.
  • Contribute to architecture decisions and ensure adherence to data governance and security standards.
  • Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices in data engineering and cloud usage.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Data Pipeline Design and Development: Develop and implement scalable data pipelines on GCP using Google Cloud Storage, BigQuery, and Airflow.
  • ETL/ELT Process Development: Create robust ETL/ELT processes in Python and integrate with data orchestration tools like Airflow.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with data analysts, data scientists, and stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Performance Optimization: Optimize BigQuery performance through efficient schema design, partitioning, clustering, and query optimization.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering with a focus on Google Cloud Platform.
  • Proven track record of designing, building, and optimizing scalable data pipelines and architectures.
  • Strong understanding of data storage solutions, including Google Cloud Storage and BigQuery.
  • Experience with data orchestration tools like Airflow and proficiency in Python programming language.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with data governance and security standards.
