Job Title

Cloud Data Engineer - Spark and AWS Specialist

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop data pipelines for new projects using Apache Airflow or AWS Lambda.
  • Enhance existing data pipelines to meet evolving business requirements.
  • Work with the PM to deliver successful projects, provide estimation, scoping, and scheduling assistance.
  • Manage build phase and quality assure code to ensure it meets the requirements and adheres to cloud architecture principles.

Technical Experience:

Must-Have:

  • 7-9 years of IT experience with a strong focus on cloud technologies.
  • 5+ years of experience working with AWS services.
  • Associate Level and Professional Level AWS Certification is a plus.
  • In-depth knowledge of AWS Services including S3, EC2, EMR, Serverless, Athena, AWS Glue, Lambda, Step Functions.
  • Experience with Cloud Databases such as AWS Aurora, Singlestore, RedShift, Snowflake.
  • Big Data skills in Hadoop, Hive, Spark, YARN.
  • Programming languages including Scala, Python, Shell Scripts, PySpark.
  • Strong SQL Skills.
  • Orchestration Tools like Apache Airflow.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field. Master's degree is a plus.
  • Demonstrated continued learning through technical certifications or other methods.

  • Hold strong technical knowledge and experience.
  • Ability to research and deep dive into various technical fields.
  • Self-motivated and focused on delivering outcomes.
  • Excellent communication skills through speaking, writing, and client presentations.
  • Ability to work in a self-organized and cross-functional team.
