Technical Program Manager Role

Job Overview

The role of Technical Program Manager is to lead the execution of complex technical programs, overseeing multiple projects simultaneously and ensuring timely and smooth program launches.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Plan and execute large-scale technical programs, leveraging deep technical expertise to develop detailed plans with key milestones and goals.
  2. Manage concurrent projects/programs, prioritizing tasks and resources to ensure successful delivery.
  3. Develop strong partnerships with engineering and product management leaders to drive focus on strategic and tactical program objectives.
  4. Drive teams and individuals in planning and executing roadmaps, releases, and work backlogs.
  5. Ensure cross-team alignment on goals, priorities, roadmap, schedules, communications, and releases to all stakeholders.
  6. Provide reporting on project status, risks, issues, and mitigation plans.
  7. Identify gaps, unblock issues, and drive alignment between groups and functions.
  8. Create a collaborative work environment that fosters shared understanding, transparency, mastery, autonomy, innovation, and continuous learning.
  9. Coach and mentor others in the best practices of modern technical planning and execution.
Requirements
  • 8+ years of full-time technical program management experience within an engineering or technical team.
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrated success managing multiple major and concurrent projects/programs.
  • Experience driving the development of world-class online products.
  • Significant experience working with software engineering leadership, technical teams, individual contributors, and external clients.
  • Knowledge of complex technical ecosystems and adequate technical depth.
  • Ability to build collaborations and create a community of leadership.
  • Thought leadership skills combined with strong negotiation ability delivered with a high level of influence and professionalism.
  • Agile coaching and practitioner experience (Scrum, Kanban) with multiple teams.
  • Experience in managing all phases of end-to-end product development.
  • Knowledge of Internet client/server social networking applications and systems.
  • Hands-on software development experience.
  • Experience working on ATS integrations.
