Quality Assurance Lead

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead testing efforts for data validation and quality assurance in our ETL processes, Data Warehousing, and Data Migrations.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Snowflake and hands-on technical skills combined with leadership qualities to guide junior engineers.

Key responsibilities include designing, developing, and executing test strategies, test plans, and test cases for data validation and quality assurance. The role also involves reviewing requirements, specifications, and technical design documents, performing data analysis, reconciliation, and validation between source and target systems.

Additionally, the successful candidate will be responsible for designing data quality frameworks, validating data completeness, transformations, and client onboarding workflows, performing row-level and aggregated data validations across client datasets, and supporting data governance, auditing, and compliance requirements.

  • Lead and support testing efforts for ETL processes, Data Warehousing, and Data Migrations with strong focus on Snowflake
  • Design, develop, and execute test strategies, test plans, and test cases for data validation and quality assurance
  • Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
  • Perform data analysis, reconciliation, and validation between source and target systems
  • Design data quality frameworks for Athena's Snowflake and HighTouch environments
  • Validate data completeness, transformations, and client onboarding workflows
  • Perform row-level and aggregated data validations across client datasets
  • Support data governance, auditing, and compliance requirements
  • Work closely with business analysts, data engineers, and developers to ensure requirements are translated into effective testing scenarios
  • Identify data quality issues, troubleshoot, and provide recommendations for improvements
  • Drive automation in ETL and DWH testing where feasible
  • Ensure non functional requirements such as performance and security are met
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers, providing technical direction and knowledge sharing
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of project milestones
  • Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies
  • Driving Quality Engineering practices over quality control activities

**Requirements:**

  • 6+ years of experience in ETL/DWH testing, with at least 2+ years working on Snowflake
  • Strong understanding of Data Warehousing concepts, Data Migrations, and ETL workflows
  • Proficiency in SQL with ability to write complex queries for data validation and analysis
  • Hands-on experience with ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend, SSIS, or equivalent)
  • Strong knowledge of data quality, data governance, and reconciliation testing
  • Experience with test automation for DWH/ETL projects is an advantage
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) preferred
  • Experience in a lead role – mentoring team members, assigning tasks, and ensuring quality delivery
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering or Computer Science or IT or related field
  • ISTQB examinations

**Desirable Skills:

  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies and working in CI/CD environments
  • Familiarity with GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or other CI/CD tools
  • Basic knowledge of Python or scripting for automation
