Job Opportunity: Deputy General Manager Finishing

We are seeking a seasoned professional to assume the role of Deputy General Manager – Finishing. This position involves overseeing the finishing operations at a leading fabric mill, ensuring high-quality output, operational efficiency, and adherence to delivery schedules.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in fabric finishing, effective leadership skills, and the ability to drive process improvements, cost optimization, and compliance with quality and sustainability standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Management:
    • Lead and manage day-to-day operations of the finishing department, encompassing bleaching, dyeing, printing, washing, and other finishing processes.
    • E nsure adherence to production schedules and customer delivery commitments.
    • Monitor machine utilization, efficiency, and workflow to optimize capacity.
  • Quality Assurance:
    • Oversee quality control processes to ensure fabrics meet required customer specifications and international standards.
    • Drive initiatives to reduce defects, rework, and waste.
    • Implement best practices for process consistency and product reliability.
  • Process Improvement & Innovation:
    • Implement lean manufacturing practices and continuous improvement methodologies.
    • Introduce new finishing techniques and technologies to improve efficiency, quality, and sustainability.
    • Collaborate with R&D and technical teams on process development and new product trials.
  • Compliance & Safety:
    • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
    • Maintain standards in line with customer audits, certifications, and sustainability requirements.
    • Enforce strict adherence to EHS guidelines within the finishing operations.
