Property and Casualty Insurance Claims Lead

We are seeking a seasoned claims expert to oversee our Property and Casualty (P&C) insurance operations.

  • This role involves managing a team of claims adjusters, providing timely feedback, and conducting performance reviews.
  • The successful candidate will also assist with employee professional development, coordinate with internal customers, and maintain workflow.
  • In addition, they will be responsible for ensuring Service Level Agreement (SLA) adherence, preparing reporting packs for senior management, and implementing opportunities for streamlining claims activity.
  • This position requires strong people management skills, effective communication, commercial awareness, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience in Property and Casualty (P&C) Insurance, preferably with CPCU or equivalent insurance designation.
  • Experience in dealing with international clients is preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage team performance, conduct employee performance reviews, and provide ongoing training and coaching.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders, maintain workflow, and ensure SLA adherence.
  • Prepare and review reporting packs, and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Ensure accurate performance metrics are reported, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Assist with investigation and resolution of data quality issues, and support the testing and rollout of new IT initiatives.

Skill Requirements:

  • Strong leadership skills, effective communication, and sound knowledge of property and casualty underwriting.
  • Commercial awareness, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
