Job Title: Cloud Database Architect

 

Job Description:

 

  • Overview:
  • In this challenging role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable database solutions on the cloud using MS SQL and Oracle. You will lead client workshops to gather requirements, design database architecture, and engage with clients to define solutions that meet their needs.
  • You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless delivery of projects and collaborate with stakeholders to coordinate project activities.

 

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement database architectures for MS SQL and Oracle on the cloud, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security.
  • Plan, design, implement, and maintain database environments on AWS (RDS, EC2, S3, etc.).
  • Develop and optimize database structures to ensure data integrity, performance, and security.
  • Implement tools and scripts for automation, perform advanced database performance tuning, and provide integration support with third-party monitoring systems.
  • Administer Linux and Windows environments for database deployments, as well as virtual machines and container technologies.
  • Lead solutioning for 3-tier architectures and ensure compliance with contractual SLAs.

 

  • Required Skills:
  • Expert-level knowledge of MS SQL and Oracle database administration, including installation and configuration, schema management, user management, backup and restore, and database security.
  • Hands-on expertise in AWS services, including RDS, EC2, S3, Lambda, and CloudWatch.
  • Strong understanding of server security, DR replication, high availability, failover, and replication.
  • Experience with JDBC connection pools and database integration is a plus.
