Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team at UPL. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing global procurement activities, ensuring timely delivery of materials, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage global procurement activities, including post-PO management, to ensure on-time delivery of materials.
  • Review purchase requisitions for trading goods, raw materials, and packaging materials, and create purchase orders.
  • Develop and implement release strategies for PR to PO processes, and maintain master data material requests.
  • Expedite materials as required, and work closely with category managers, planning, and inventory teams to deliver KPIs.
  • Track shipments and movement of materials, and create and publish reports to stakeholders.
  • Resolve post-PO issues, such as delivery of materials, goods receipts, invoices, payments, and documentation.
  • Collaborate with procurement teams to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and business growth.
  • Utilize expediting tools and Excel to track end-to-end expediting activities.
  • Maintain good knowledge of Incoterms, LDs, and LCs, and have prior experience with ServiceNow.
Requirements
  • 2-7 years of procurement experience in direct materials in the chemical, pharma, or manufacturing industry for global regions.
  • Preferred experience in handling raw materials and packaging materials.
  • Experience in using expediting tools and Excel.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with proficiency in English and French.
  • Computer literacy with advanced Excel skills, and working knowledge of local laws and regulations.
