Financial Analyst Position:

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining complex financial models with scenario analysis, conducting discounted cash flow (DCF) and other relevant valuation methods. The ideal candidate should possess excellent financial modeling skills, ability to think critically through drivers and key performance indicators (KPIs) across various sectors, strong client relationship management skills, effective communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple workflows under tight deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing accurate assumptions and valuations with supporting rationale
  • Screening large datasets to identify investment opportunities and assisting portfolio managers/investment officers in their investment decisions
  • Discussing investment ideas and stock updates with portfolio managers/investment officers
  • Preparing earnings reviews, previews, attending conference calls, and management meetings
  • Preparing pitch notes/presentations, industry, and thematic notes
  • Creating and updating databases
  • Collecting and analyzing news
  • Handling ad-hoc research requests
  • Maintaining regular communication with clients and other stakeholders

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Excellent financial modeling skills
  • Ability to think critically through drivers and KPIs across various sectors
  • Strong client relationship management skills and effective communication skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple workflows under tight deadlines
  • Numerical abilities
  • Building complex, error-free models with well-defined revenue/cost driver assumptions
  • Conducting earnings sensitivity analysis
  • Providing own valuation views after conducting relative, DCF-based or industry-appropriate valuations
  • Writing skills
  • Writing in a logical and structured manner requiring minimal rework
  • Writing bulletins and one-page summaries
  • Linking macro/industry analysis to output
  • Building effective presentations

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience in using technologies: Python, SQL, Power BI

Advantageous Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Professional Requirements:

  1. Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field
  2. Minimum 3 years of experience in financial analysis, research, or related field

Salary/Benefits:

This is a highly competitive position with a salary range of $80,000-$120,000 per year, depending on experience. Additional benefits include health insurance, retirement plan, paid time off, and professional development opportunities.
