Intellectual Property Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Intellectual Property Specialist to support our product development process.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing timely IP inputs to relevant stakeholders, including Research and Development teams. This role involves conducting patent searches, determining patentable inventions, and filing and prosecuting patent applications to augment and bolster our patent estate.

  • Provide strategic insights on patent litigation and opposition to ensure alignment with our product strategy in a cost-effective manner.
  • Conduct due diligence of products to apprise stakeholders about key patent rights and identify opportunities for acquisition or early launch potential.
  • Identify new product opportunities and evaluate innovative ideas to identify new opportunities for patent protection and development.
  • Lead due diligence activities for products of interest to provide stakeholders with valuable insights from an IP perspective.

Educational Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) or Masters of Pharmacy (M.Pharm), preferably with a Diploma in Intellectual Property Law.

Relevant Experience:

  • Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) with 8 years of relevant experience or Masters of Pharmacy (M.Pharm) with 6 years of relevant experience, preferably with a Diploma in Intellectual Property Law.

Additional Skills:

  • Relevant techno-legal experience in regulated markets.
  • In-depth knowledge of Patent laws in India, US, and Europe.
  • An eye for detail and acumen for Paragraph IV filings in USA.
