Project Coordinator Position Overview

This role involves coordinating projects for corporate volunteers who will be providing pro bono consulting services to local social sector organizations in Bengaluru, India.

Main Responsibilities:

  • We are seeking an individual to identify and select potential host client organizations and develop project plans that reflect the specific areas of intervention requested by these organizations.
  • The successful candidate will support local host client organizations in preparing for the arrival of corporate volunteers and ensure stakeholder meetings are arranged.
  • They will also participate in conference calls with corporate volunteers prior to their arrival in Bengaluru.
  • Another key responsibility is to provide advice and guidance to corporate volunteers around project delivery.
  • As the on-the-ground interface between our organization and partner organizations in Bengaluru, the successful candidate will be responsible for regular correspondence with our staff and other stakeholders to ensure satisfaction on the part of both corporate volunteers and partner organizations.
  • Additionally, they will prepare financial and final program reports.
  • Assistance with procuring and negotiating accommodations and transportation in Bengaluru for corporate volunteers is another essential aspect of this role.
  • The successful candidate will also be responsible for coordinating program launch and closing events for corporate volunteers and host client organizations.
  • They will prepare guides and suggestions for project coordinators.
  • Orienting new corporate volunteers upon arrival in Bengaluru is another important task.
  • Managing project travel logistics for corporate volunteers while they are in Bengaluru is a key responsibility.
  • Acting as a logistical and informational resource for corporate volunteers and troubleshooting challenges they may face is also required.
  • Finally, the successful candidate will monitor and advise on security arrangements for corporate volunteers when they are in Bengaluru.

Requirements:

  1. A strong understanding of the Anand region and its nuances is essential.
  2. A degree in project management, organizational development, sustainability, NGO management, impact investing, communications, or a related field is required.
  3. The successful candidate must have a minimum of 5-10 years of experience.
  4. Exceptional writing and communications skills are necessary.
  5. The ability to conduct Gap and SWOT analysis and to develop consulting project plans with minimal supervision is also required.
  6. Experience working with cross-cultural teams and/or skills-based volunteering programs is highly valued.
  7. The successful candidate must be able to multitask and manage diverse tasks simultaneously.
  8. Flexibility and the ability to work in a team, as well as individually with limited supervision, are essential.
  9. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are necessary.
  10. Fluency in English is mandatory, with fluency in Kannada being a plus.
  11. Exceptional customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills are required.
  12. Experience in virtual and in-person presentation skills is highly valued.
