Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our facilities operations and maintenance teams.

This role is accountable for guiding cross-functional teams, fostering a collaborative and innovative culture focused on achieving operational excellence.

  • Provides in-depth technical expertise in electrical, mechanical, integrated control, and water chemistry for the entire data center.
  • Coordinates daily operations and critical maintenance activities with contractors and consultants.
  • Ensures the team works effectively to achieve organizational goals.
  • Directly interfaces with construction management teams, contractors, and consultants for all phased data center construction commissioning.
  • Works with regional leadership to track and complete an aggressive preventive and predictive maintenance schedule.
  • Ensures the data center operates at maximum operational efficiency, analyzing existing operating conditions and recommending new technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage systems to prevent unplanned outages impacting customers.
  • Directly manage data floor and back-of-house electrical loading and capacity.
  • Participate in rotational on-call schedules to respond to emergency situations.
  • Provide site leadership, implement training, and act as both a coach and mentor to site personnel.

To succeed in this role, you need:

  • Advanced knowledge of current NFPA Electrical, Fire, and Life Safety codes.
  • Advanced familiarity with data trending, tracking, and analysis.
  • Excellent customer service skills and verbal and written communications skills.
  • Must be detail-oriented, organized, flexible, and able to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering or similar field required.
  • Advanced experience in data center and/or critical facilities management.
  • Advanced experience managing and motivating critical facilities operations and maintenance teams/function.
