Data Center Operations Expert

The role of Data Center Operations Expert involves overseeing the daily functioning of our data center in Mumbai. This position requires a proactive individual with substantial experience in managing data center environments, ensuring optimal performance and leading a team of technicians.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day operations of the data center, guaranteeing high availability and performance.
  • Oversee the installation, configuration and maintenance of hardware and software components.
  • Implement and enforce data center policies, procedures and best practices.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to support project deployments and troubleshooting.
  • Monitor data center infrastructure and services, addressing issues proactively.
  • Lead and mentor a team of data center technicians and engineers.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations regarding data security and management.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
  • 6-8 years of experience in data center operations or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of data center infrastructure, including servers, storage and networking.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
  • Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
  • Proficient in monitoring and management tools (e.g., Nagios, Zabbix).
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
