Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Engine Operations Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical and electrical engineering, with a focus on propulsion systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • System Architecture & Subsystem Integration: This involves interpreting blueprints, aligning engine modules with airframe CG, thrust line, and cooling airflow zones using CAD overlays and dimensional tolerance inspection.
  • Calibration of Propulsion Control Units: The successful candidate will be responsible for executing advanced calibration of ECU logic, ignition timing, fuel injection curves, and RPM throttling profiles tailored for each mission scenario.
  • Test Bench Operations & Run-Time Monitoring: Overseeing pre-bench preparation, monitoring engine performance under full-throttle stress conditions, and investigating abnormal operating conditions.
  • Fault Diagnostics & Troubleshooting: Identifying root causes of propulsion anomalies using telemetry logs, diagnostic codes, and physical inspections.
  • Scheduled & Predictive Maintenance Leadership: Leading the implementation of service protocols for UAV engines, performing condition-based diagnostics, and maintaining digital logs in ERP/CMMS.
  • Pre-Flight & Post-Flight Propulsion Validation: Supervising propulsion system sign-offs prior to UAV flight clearance, debriefing post-flight engine data, and providing feedback to engineering change control teams.
  • Technical Oversight & Mentoring: Guiding engineers and junior engineers during integration, calibration, and troubleshooting tasks, ensuring adherence to SOPs and engineering judgment.
  • Quality Control, Safety & Compliance: Enforcing compliance with STANAG 4671 and internal propulsion system SOPs during integration, calibration, and testing operations.
  • Cross-Team Technical Coordination: Acting as the propulsion engineering point-of-contact for avionics, airframe, electrical, and GCS teams during integration and test readiness phases.
  • Process Improvement & Engineering Change Proposals: Identifying inefficiencies or repeated error trends in engine operations and proposing changes to calibration flow, assembly steps, or diagnostic processes.
