Key Responsibilities:

  • Deal Evaluation
    • Conduct thorough market analysis, evaluate products/services including intellectual property and assess teams, business models, and financials to identify risk factors and analyze competitive landscapes and funding histories.
    • Prepare detailed investment notes on potential opportunities.
  • Due Diligence
    • Support the investment team in commercial due diligence, financial due diligence, and legal due diligence.
    • Coordinate with professional firms to oversee their diligence findings.
  • Deal Sourcing
    • Assist in sourcing opportunities from founder networks, startup ecosystems, and investment bankers.
    • Screen startups, review pitch decks, and conduct preliminary assessments based on deal evaluation metrics.
  • Portfolio Support
    • Engage with portfolio companies and assist in preparation of updates on the companies' progress.
    • Collaborate with founders on research and go-to-market strategies.
  • Ecosystem Engagement
    • Attend industry events, demo days, and network with founders, accelerators, and fellow investors.
  • Internal Reports & Documentation
    • Assist in preparing compliance documentation and internal records.
  • Investor Relations
    • Assist in making presentations for Limited Partners (LPs) as well as investor updates.

Requirements:

  • NISM Series XIX-D exam is mandatory.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to assess market trends and business models.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Prior experience in startups, consulting, investment banking or finance is preferred.
  • Insatiable hunger to learn.
