Job Title: Release Manager

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Release Manager to oversee the planning, execution, and deployment of software releases.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and maintain comprehensive release plans, outlining timelines, milestones, and dependencies across the release lifecycle.
  2. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and preparedness for upcoming releases.
  3. IDentify, track, and mitigate potential risks or issues that could impact release timelines or quality.
  4. Ensure all changes are well-documented, communicated, and approved according to established change control processes.
  5. Coordinate deployments in cloud environments, ensuring compliance with relevant security and operational policies.
  6. Champion continuous integration, delivery, and deployment practices; drive automation to improve release reliability and efficiency.
  7. Track release progress and provide regular updates, including detailed performance metrics and status reports to stakeholders.
  8. Lead the resolution of issues during release phases to ensure minimal disruption to operations.
  9. Maintain and manage the organization's release calendar, ensuring coordination with all relevant stakeholders.
  10. Oversee the merging of validated changes into main code branches, coordinating closely with development and QA teams.
  11. Present planned changes in meetings and secure approvals as required across different regions.
  12. Organize and conduct readiness assessments before deployment.
  13. Monitor post-release performance, coordinate hotfixes if needed, and facilitate reviews.
  14. Ensure all release-related documentation is complete, up-to-date, and meets compliance standards.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

  • Certification in cloud technologies

  • Experience with monitoring and observability tools
  • Strong understanding of release processes in complex environments
  • Proven ability to drive process improvements and optimize workflows
