Job Opportunity:

This is a high-level accounting position within our International Accounting and Compliance organization. The role will be part of our India Accounting & Compliance team supporting Intuit entities with financial reporting, local GAAP compliance, and tax planning.

The ideal candidate will have exceptional technical skills, leadership abilities, and the capacity to effectively collaborate with global team members. They will execute and maintain accounting principles and company policies, possess strong change management skills, and drive issues through resolution and validation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead month-end and quarter-end US GAAP Close processes for multiple legal entities.
• Oversee local statutory audits, including preparation of statutory financial statements in compliance with Ind-AS.
• Assess risks associated with accounts and areas of responsibility.
• Prepare journal entries and maintain account reconciliations consistent with GAAP and corporate accounting policies.
• Research and document company positions on technical accounting issues.
• Ensure robust internal controls across subsidiaries and adherence to company policy.
• Support compliance activities and process improvements in the area of responsibility.
• Stay current on evolving Accounting Standards pronouncements and updates under prevailing regulatory bodies in the region.
• Apply professional skepticism and analytical skills to review and analyze general ledger, books of accounts, and statutory financial statements.
• Coordinate with various stakeholders to ensure timely completion of Internal, ICFR, Interim, and Statutory Audits.
• Own and manage compliance activities in accounting, company secretarial, banking, and related regulatory compliances.

Financial Planning and Compliance Responsibilities:

• Prepare tax calculations, estimates, and reports, as well as advance tax computations.
• Ensure timely and accurate filing of all corporate tax & GST returns for Intuit entities.
• Collaborate with the Tax Team in managing India tax matters and regional initiatives.
• Liaise with tax consultants for effective and timely filing of replies to notices and orders from direct tax assessments.
• Prepare information and coordinate with external consultants for representation to Tax authorities and support tax litigation matters.
• Document current and deferred tax provisions for US GAAP purposes.
• Provide internal tax advisory services and support business operations for the India Team.
• Review and submit checklists of statutory compliance under direct and indirect tax, ensuring timely submission.

Qualifications:

• Hold a degree in Accountancy, with mandatory CA/CPA qualification and 4-6 years of post-qualification experience in accounting, book close processes, direct and indirect tax compliances.
• Experience in end-to-end legal entity level accounts finalization according to IFRS/Ind AS accounting standards.
• Exhibit extensive knowledge of tax accounting, withholding tax, regular tax compliance, transfer pricing, CbyC reports, GST, and other tax regulations.
• Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Ind-AS.
• Display analytical thinking, identifying and implementing effective process improvements.
• Proficiency with accounting software and experience with a software system – preferably Oracle R12.
• Possess strong attention to detail, excellent analytical, and multitasking skills, as well as strong written and oral communication skills.
• Demonstrate technical expertise in Direct and Indirect tax compliance, including compliances related to Intercompany transactions.
• Be a mature, proactive, resourceful, and independent individual who can deliver with minimal supervision.
