Job Description

As a Road Safety Expert, you will lead the development and implementation of strategies to reduce traffic fatalities and enhance roadway safety in the state. You will work closely with government stakeholders, urban and rural authorities, law enforcement agencies, consultants, and community groups to achieve this goal.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Indian policies, laws, and regulations, as well as excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. You should be able to communicate effectively with diverse groups and present findings to senior officials.

You will be responsible for developing and implementing road safety policies and action plans, evaluating design and safety aspects of new and existing road projects, and conducting road safety audits at various stages. You will also analyze crash data and road user patterns to identify trends and risk factors.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Transportation Planning/Engineering, Urban Planning, Urban Design, Public Policy, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in mobility and/or road safety in India
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing successful urban mobility programs
  • Strong understanding of Indian policies, laws, and regulations
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication, collaboration, interpersonal, and presentation skills
