Job Title: Data Insights Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Data Insights Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for extracting valuable insights from complex data sets, developing reports and dashboards to communicate these insights effectively, and partnering with cross-functional teams to drive business decisions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain databases and data systems to ensure high-quality data is available for analysis.
  • Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and correlations that inform business strategies.
  • Create interactive and informative dashboards and reports using Power BI and other tools to present findings to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to prioritize work, deliver on-time requests, and develop solutions to meet business needs.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Information Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a quantitative discipline in science, business, or social science.
  • At least 5 years of experience in information science, data/database management, data profiling/summarizing, and reporting data quality metrics.
  • Expertise in relational database technologies and concepts, including SQL queries and tools like Excel, VBA, Access, etc.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud computing and experience working with Snowflake is preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey critical and sensitive information in a highly professional manner.
Preferred Skills

A plus if you have:

  • Experience in a healthcare industry.
  • Knowledge of master and reference data strategy.
