Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for producing watermains, piping layouts and profile drawings according to BIM/CAD standards.

This role involves the preparation of drawings including conceptual sketches and detailed construction drawings using Autodesk Civil 3D software with high quality and accuracy.

The incumbent will produce drawings to ensure compliance with Client drafting standards and Quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Production of watermains, piping layouts and profile drawings as per BIM/CAD standards.
  • Preparation of drawings including conceptual sketches and detailed construction drawings using Autodesk Civil 3D software.
  • Preparation of Revit MEP, HVAC, Electrical models.
  • Production of drawings to ensure compliance with Client drafting standards and Quality requirements.
  • Completing BIM/CAD tasks as directed by the Senior BIM/CAD Technician or Engineer.
  • Staying up-to-date in Drafting skills and adhering to training requirements.
  • Working in different standards, requirements and preparing engineering drawings to specified standards.
  • Drafting/Modelling assistance (assist engineers and technologists in completing road/parking lot, storm and sanitary sewer, water main, and grading drawings, 3D Modelling Works).
  • Other duties as assigned such as QA/QC Compliance.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of a Under Graduation (or Pursuing) in Civil Engineering Discipline.
  • 3-8 years of experience in AutoCAD drafting and Autodesk Civil 3D Design.
  • Strong team player, responsible for quality drawing production and self-check of drawings.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines.

  • Ability to work well as part of a team or on an individual basis.
  • Ability to learn, develop required skillset and contribute to quality drawing production.
  • Highly motivated, hardworking, enthusiastic team player & good communication skills.
  • Civil 3D, Revit, 2D Drafting, Plan & Profile drawings, Layout, key plan and Standard Drawings.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with BIM processes and standards.
  • Knowledge of additional software tools related to civil engineering.
