Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled automation developer to spearhead our efforts in enhancing CAD workflows and productivity. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in creating, optimizing, and maintaining automation scripts.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop, debug, and maintain AutoLISP, Visual LISP, and related customization scripts.
  • Design and implement automation routines to improve drafting efficiency and accuracy.
  • Create and maintain CAD standards through automated tools and scripts.
  • Integrate AutoCAD with external databases, APIs, and software applications.
  • Document processes, workflows, and script functionalities for team use.
  • Collaborate with design and engineering teams to identify automation opportunities.
  • Provide technical support and training to users on custom tools.

Required Skills & Competencies:

Technical Expertise:

  • Proficiency in AutoLISP, Visual LISP, and related customization languages.
  • Experience with .NET API (C# / VB.NET) and ObjectARX (preferred).
  • Strong understanding of drawing standards, layers, blocks, and dynamic blocks.
  • Knowledge of parametric drawing and automation workflows.

Automation & Scripting:

  • Ability to develop custom dialog boxes (DCL), menus, palettes, and toolbars.
  • Experience integrating with Excel, CSV, or SQL databases.
  • Familiarity with automating repetitive tasks (batch processing, cleanup, plotting, etc.).

Soft Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Attention to detail and quality control in development.
  • Good communication skills to interact with teams.

Bonus Points:

  • Background in computer-aided design (CAD) or a related field.
  • Previous experience working with AutoCAD or other CAD software.
