The Role of a Procurement Professional

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Executive to join our organization. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and evaluating suppliers based on technical requirements, quality standards, and cost-effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supplier Identification and Evaluation
  • Evaluate supplier proposals and negotiate contracts to ensure favorable terms and conditions.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to identify areas for improvement in their processes, quality, and delivery performance.
  • Negotiate with suppliers to achieve competitive pricing and favorable payment terms.
  • Cost Reduction and Optimization
  • Analyze the cost structure of products and identify opportunities for cost reduction through value engineering, process optimization, and material sourcing.
  • Implement cost-saving initiatives throughout the supply chain, such as reducing lead times, improving inventory management, and optimizing logistics.
  • Supplier Relationship Management
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, fostering open communication and collaboration.
  • Manage supplier performance, track key metrics, and address any performance issues proactively.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong technical knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and manufacturing processes.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant software.
  • Knowledge of relevant quality standards and regulations.
