Accounting is a dynamic field that requires individuals with strong analytical and technical skills.

The role of an Accountant involves handling various accounting tasks such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, ledger entries, and financial statement preparation.

A successful Accountant must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle daily accounting transactions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and ledger entries
  • Prepare and review financial statements, budgets, and management information reports
  • Perform month-end and year-end closing and reconciliations
  • Ensure compliance with tax laws, regulations, and standards
  • Manage inventory accounting and cost analysis
  • Support audits with proper documentation
  • Generate reports as needed by management
  • Process entries like contra, journal, receipt, and payment
  • Work with teams to optimize costs and improve processes

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • 2-3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a CA firm or under a CA
  • Proficient in Tally and MS Excel
  • Good understanding of accounting principles, AP/AR, GST, MIS reporting, and compliances
  • Experience with inventory accounting is preferred
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Able to work independently and meet deadlines
