We are seeking a skilled individual to fill the role of an Advanced Technical Support Specialist.


Job Overview:

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our team as a technical expert in L2 Support. The successful candidate will possess strong C programming skills and in-depth knowledge of Linux internals.


Main Responsibilities:
  • Kernel Porting and Compilation
    • Making existing custom patches work on new kernels
    • Configuring the kernel as per platform requirements
    • Backporting CVE/PSIRT patches committed in upstream kernel
    • Working on custom patches like logging of stack trace during kernel panic in NVRAM/onboard persistent memory
    • Creating distributions based on Yocto
  • FOSS (Free and Open Source Software) Management
    • Creating rootfs
    • Handling toolchain updates
    • Handling custom patches
    • Handling CVE/PSIRT for FOSS
    • Backporting patches from upstream version
    • Handling nuances of 32-bit in 64-bit underlying architecture
    • Working with GCC and CLANG together
  • Expertise in Cisco Data Centre Switches and NX-OS
  • Virtualization Knowledge (Desirable)
