Electrical Engineer Job Description

The role involves evaluating electrical products and systems by designing testing methods, working on obsolescence activities to qualify replacements, and performing testing and releasing in the system with documentation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate electrical products and systems by designing testing methods.
  • Work on obsolescence activities to qualify replacements, perform testing and release in the system with documentation.
  • End-to-end ownership: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and qualify engineering solutions.
  • Rapidly generate design concepts that become detailed drawings for manufacturing.
  • Participate in design reviews to present designs throughout phases of design and development.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering with 3-5 years of experience.
  • Master's degree preferred with 1 year of experience.
  • Comfortable working with US-based timings.
Mandatory Skills:
  • Good understanding of electronics components, schematics, and system interconnect.
  • Select and recommend components based on application and circuit requirements.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Critical/system-level thinking.
  • Good project management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Good to Have:
  • Exposure to part lifecycle management, change orders using any PLM system.
  • Experience in electronic components obsolescence.
  • Understanding of PCB and components.
  • Hands-on experience with testing electronics components-bench-level test and system-level test.
  • Hands-on experience with AUTOCAD/Zuken/PCAD software.
