Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Backend Developer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will design, develop, and implement scalable and performant backend applications using a modern technology stack. This includes building and maintaining robust APIs for seamless data integration and communication with frontend applications, optimizing backend systems for performance, and implementing unit and integration tests to ensure code quality, reliability, and maintainability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement scalable and performant backend applications using a modern technology stack (e.g., Python with Django/Flask, Java with Spring Boot, Node.js with Express).
  • Build and maintain robust APIs (RESTful or GraphQL) for seamless data integration and communication with frontend applications.
  • Optimize backend systems for performance, ensuring responsiveness and scalability under high loads.
  • Implement unit and integration tests to ensure code quality, reliability, and maintainability.
  • Utilize databases (relational or NoSQL) to efficiently store, manage, and retrieve data.
  • Implement security best practices to safeguard sensitive data and user privacy.
  • Collaborate with engineers, designers, and product managers to translate requirements into technical solutions.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in backend technologies and best practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven experience with a modern backend programming language (e.g., Python, Java, Node.js).
  • Proficiency in a relevant backend framework (mention specific framework - e.g., Django, Flask, Spring Boot, Express).
  • Experience with API design and development (RESTful or GraphQL).
  • Familiarity with database technologies (relational or NoSQL - e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB).
  • Experience with performance optimization techniques (e.g., caching, load balancing).
  • Experience with unit testing frameworks (e.g., JUnit, unittest, pytest).
  • Understanding of security best practices for backend development.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (Git).
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus (if applicable).
