Job Opportunity: Data Lead

About the Role:

  • You will be responsible for developing and implementing data solutions that empower stakeholders to make informed, data-driven decisions.
  • As a seasoned data professional, you will design and implement robust and scalable data models that support business intelligence, analytics, and reporting requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design and develop data dictionaries and metadata repositories.
  2. Ensure data integrity and consistency across all data platforms.
  3. Evaluate and recommend data storage and processing solutions.
  4. Develop advanced Power BI dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
  5. Create interactive visualizations and data stories that effectively communicate complex data.
  6. Optimize Power BI performance for large datasets and complex reports.
  7. Implement and maintain Power BI data gateways and data refresh schedules.
  8. Write and optimize complex SQL queries for high-performance data retrieval and processing.
  9. Perform data profiling and analysis to identify data quality issues and implement remediation strategies.
  10. Develop and maintain ETL processes for data integration and transformation.
  11. Troubleshoot and resolve database performance issues.
  12. Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  13. Define and implement data governance policies and procedures.
  14. Develop and communicate data strategies and roadmaps.
  15. Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
  16. Lead data-related projects.
  17. Mentor junior team members.

Requirements:

  • Advanced proficiency in Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, and DAX.
  • Experience with Power BI data modeling, visualization, and report development.
  • Knowledge of Power BI data gateways and data refresh schedules.
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL for data querying, manipulation, and analysis.
  • Experience with database optimization and performance tuning.
  • Knowledge of database design and administration.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling principles and techniques (e.g., dimensional modeling, star schema).
  • Experience with data warehousing and data lake concepts.
  • Ability to design and implement logical and physical data models.
