Lead Video Communications Strategist:

  • This role requires the ability to craft compelling political narratives for video, from scripting to guiding the final edit.
Responsibilities
  • Strategic Communications & Narrative Development
    • Develop and execute compelling communication strategies and narratives for political campaigns.
  • Digital Strategy & Advertising
    • Oversee digital advertising strategy and execution with analytics to optimize performance and ROI.
  • Content Ideation & Oversight
    • Build and lead a team of creators to produce engaging content (from ideation to final deliverable), including Shorts and long-form videos.
  • Channel Growth & SEO
    • Drive subscriber growth and viewership by optimizing videos for YouTube algorithm and analyzing performance metrics.
  • Audience Analytics
    • Analyze audience retention, traffic sources, and demographics using insights to inform future content.
  • Content Innovation
    • Stay ahead of YouTube trends, experiment with new formats, and analyze competitor channels.
  • Creator Collaborations
    • Identify and build relationships with relevant YouTube creators to collaborate on projects and expand reach.
  • Crisis Communication Preparedness
    • Develop and support crisis communication plans as needed, ensuring timely response management.
  • Stakeholder Engagement
    • Collaborate effectively with internal teams, external agencies, and stakeholders.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Political Acumen
    • Deep understanding of Indian politics, history, socio-economic issues, and current affairs.
  • Professional Experience
    • 8-10 years in communications, video production, or channel management, ideally in media, PR/communications agency, public affairs, or political/advocacy setting, with demonstrable success in growing and managing a significant YouTube channel.
  • YouTube Expertise
    • Expert knowledge of the YouTube algorithm, content strategy, and SEO.
  • Video Storytelling
    • Strong ability to craft compelling political narratives for video, from scripting to guiding the final edit.
  • Project Management
    • Skill in managing video production workflows, creative teams, and project timelines.
  • Adaptability & Resilience
    • Thrives in fast-paced environments with a proactive, hands-on approach and strong sense of ownership.
  • Proactive & Hands-On Approach

  • Exceptional Communication Skills
