Storage Administrator Job Description

 

As a Storage Administrator, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient management and maintenance of storage systems. This includes implementing and enforcing data protection policies to prevent data loss and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

 

The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of data management principles, including data backup, recovery, and archiving. They will also possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a hybrid mode.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain storage systems to ensure optimal performance and availability.
  • Implement data protection policies to prevent data loss and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategies for optimizing storage capacity and reducing costs.

 

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 5-8 years of experience in storage administration, preferably with Pure/Isilon/Qumulo/dell EMC/nas/brocade technologies.
  • Strong understanding of data management principles, including data backup, recovery, and archiving.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a hybrid mode.
