Procurement Operations Manager Job Description

Job Overview:

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented professional to join our team in managing the end-to-end import procurement operation and contributing to global growth strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Timely float enquiries for procurement of import items as per production plan and receive indent.
  • Offer collection, preparation of commercial offer (CS) and creation of purchase order (PO), contract, and service work order in SAP.
  • Release vendor payment as per PO terms and follow up for delivery with shipper of pending orders.
  • Coordinate with plant users, account department, store department, suppliers, freight forwarders, and customs house agents for day-to-day operations to ensure on-time delivery as per schedule.
  • Prepare and update daily MIS reports, including stock reports, transit stock, pending orders, pending advances, EPCG reports, EPR reports, EU reports, and others as required.

Requirements:

  • B.Tech/MBA with 4-6 years of experience or Graduate/Postgraduate with 8-10 years of experience.
  • Strong command of MS Office and SAP MM.
  • Desirable skills include knowledge and experience of import procurement (PR to PO and pay process - SAP MM module), customs clearance, international freight forwarding, inventory control, MIGO, MIRO, movement type, transfer order in SAP, and purchase experience in engineering and industrial DI pipe consumable import and domestic items.
