Job Opportunity: Coffee Professional for Quality Assurance and Procurement

Location: Karnataka, India (requires frequent travel across coffee estates)

Employment type: Full-time

As a seasoned coffee expert, you will be responsible for taking charge of procurement and quality assurance at the origin level.

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate beans before purchase from various farms and curing works in Karnataka.
  • Conduct thorough quality checks from farm collection to curing and sorting.
  • Assess cup quality to ensure consistency with export specifications.
  • Prepare detailed reports on traceability and quality for each lot procured.
  • Coordinate logistics from farm to curing works and up to export stage.
  • Build strong relationships with farmers, suppliers, and curing units.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and guidelines.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in coffee procurement, quality control, or farm-level operations.
  • Strong knowledge of green coffee beans, grading, curing processes, and cup quality analysis.
  • Ability to maintain accurate documentation for traceability and compliance.
  • Familiarity with export-related logistics and processes is an advantage.
  • Fluency in Kannada; basic English for reporting and supplier/buyer coordination.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within Karnataka's coffee-growing regions.
  • High integrity and genuine passion for coffee.
