Job Title: Senior Financial Director

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented senior financial director to oversee critical financial processes, including budgeting, forecasting, month-end close, financial statement preparation, audit coordination, and reporting.

This individual will be responsible for leading the finance team in preparing annual budgets, analyzing budget variances, and recommending corrective actions.

They will also ensure timely and accurate monthly closing of accounts, review journal entries, accruals, and general ledger reconciliations, as well as review and approve invoices.

The ideal candidate will have experience in finance controllership roles, preferably in a mid to large-sized organization, with strong knowledge of accounting standards, financial reporting, and compliance.

Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel is essential, along with excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

A Chartered Accountant (CA) certification is required, and experience in audit coordination and working with Big 4 auditors is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Budgeting & Forecasting:
    • Preparation of annual budgeting process and periodic re-forecasting in collaboration with functional teams.
    • Analyze budget variances and recommend corrective actions.
  • Month-End Close:
    • Ensure timely and accurate monthly closing of accounts.
    • Review journal entries, accruals, and general ledger reconciliations.
    • Review and approve invoices.
    • Prepare and review Balance sheet schedules.
  • Financial Statements & Reporting:
    • Prepare quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with applicable accounting standards.
    • Generate and present monthly MIS reports, dashboards, and variance analysis to senior management.
  • Audit Coordination:
    • Act as the key point of contact for internal and external auditors.
    • Ensure timely completion of statutory, internal, and tax audits.
    • Address audit queries and implement audit recommendations.
  • Compliance & Controls:
    • Ensure adherence to internal controls, accounting policies, and regulatory requirements.
    • Support in process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency.
  • Stakeholder Management:
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, tax, and treasury.
    • Support management with ad hoc financial analysis and strategic projects.

Qualifications & Experience:


Chartered Accountant (CA)
4–6 years of experience in finance controllership roles, preferably in a mid to large-sized organization
Strong knowledge of accounting standards, financial reporting, and compliance
Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Preferred Skills: Experience in audit coordination and working with Big 4 auditors
Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Exposure to financial planning tools and reporting automation
