Plant & Machinery Operations Manager

The ideal candidate for this role will possess a unique blend of knowledge and technical expertise in plant and machinery operations.

This is essential as they will be a central figure in the decision-making process, working with multiple teams and individuals when necessary. As a result, they will also oversee specific personnel to ensure efficient equipment usage and minimize breakdowns.

Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Experience in plant and machinery departments, particularly high-rise towers.
  • Erection, dismantling, maintenance, and operation of Luffing Jib tower cranes, passenger hoists, placer booms, etc.
  • Methodology of equipment erection, operation, and preparation of checklists.
  • Controlling spare parts inventory and cost optimization, sourcing of plant and machinery operators, mechanics, etc.
  • Generate all local MIS to Mechanical Head at HO/Project In charge.
  • Maintain site records of equipment, including log books, preventive maintenance records, and upkeep of equipment at zonal sites.
  • Make budget estimates of each month for spares and running expenses for each machine and monitor them on a monthly basis.
  • Train concerned personnel/workers/operators on safe equipment use, avoiding accidents/MIS-happenings, and servicing/repairs followed, along with record maintenance.
  • Ensure optimum P&M usage corresponding to rated productivity output.
  • Minimize equipment breakdown and maximize availability at site.
  • Create service schedules for each month based on hours/Kms running, implementing them strictly to achieve minimum equipment breakdowns.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree/Dip.- Mech. or equivalent experience.
  • Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) Organized.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Minimum 10 years' experience.
