VFX Mentor Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced VFX Supervisor to mentor and direct our artists in the field of Visual Effects.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive Houdini software training for film and advertising needs, covering basic to advanced levels.
  • Teach RBD Fracture Simulation, Cloth Simulation, Water Simulation, Fire Simulation, Crowd Simulation, Grain Simulation, and Plant Instance Simulation techniques.
  • Guide artists in creating convincing Lookdev to achieve impressive results for clients.
  • Assist in integrating Houdini with Autodesk Maya and Blender or vice versa.
  • Deliver effective teaching to enhance individual skills of in-house VFX Artists.
  • Share experience as a VFX Artist in global cinema.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a VFX Supervisor for film, animation, or TV series.
  • Strong understanding of the overall VFX workflow and production process.
  • At least 5 years of experience working with Houdini.
  • In-depth knowledge of compositing principles, preferably in Nuke.
  • Basic knowledge of the Blender workflow is an asset.
  • Portfolio demonstrating exceptional skills and creative approach.
  • Thorough understanding of 3D modeling, lighting, and rendering techniques in Maya or Houdini.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
  • Artistic skills with high attention to detail.
  • Enthusiasm and creativity.
  • Proficiency in English language.

  • Responsible and collaborative mindset.
  • Ability to provide weekly reviews remotely via video conferencing tools.
  • Assist in designing training assignments and providing feedback.
  • Available to work part-time, approximately 5-10 hours/week.
  • Willingness to work remotely only.
