Founding Head of Engineering

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Founding Head of Engineering to lead our technical direction and platform execution. This is a hands-on leadership role that requires strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to mentor and manage a high-performing engineering team.

About the Role:

This is a critical position in our organization, and we need someone who can own the architecture and development of our agentic AI platform. The successful candidate will design scalable, reliable backend infrastructure that powers automation workflows and collaborate closely with product, operations, and implementation teams to deliver into real-world hospital environments.

  • Design and develop complex systems and APIs.
  • Lead and mentor a high-performing engineering team.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive technical execution.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 7–10 years of experience in backend, platform, or systems engineering.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (Master's preferred).
  • Deep experience with Python or comparable backend languages in production environments.
  • Proven track record designing and scaling complex systems and APIs.
  • Experience leading engineering teams or projects with high accountability and ownership.
