As a Consumer Insights Manager, you will play a critical role in driving business growth by identifying opportunities and developing strategies that resonate with consumers.
Job Description:As a Consumer Insights Manager, you will be responsible for providing fact-based, strategic, and brand-centric perspectives to inspire deeper consumer understanding. This involves communicating the voice of the customer, including attitudes, behaviors, motivations, and pleasure and pain points. You will also connect the dots to build integrated, inspiring, and insightful category growth stories to inform business decisions.
To achieve this, you will offer foresight and data insight, helping to shape the future through strategic thought leadership. You will stay up-to-date on industry trends and emerging technologies to identify new opportunities for conducting consumer research. Additionally, you will find, collate, and evaluate relevant information and data from across the organization, the technology market, competitors, and the retail landscape to support the development of marketing and product strategy, successful campaigns, and marketing performance evaluation.
Your collaboration with stakeholders in marketing teams (Product, Marketing, Campaign, Creative, Social, PR, and Digital) will involve identifying insights needs, planning appropriate solutions, and delivering actionable inputs. Both strategic and tactical approaches will be required. Furthermore, you will design, execute, analyze, and present primary and secondary market research projects, including qualitative, quantitative, offline, online, ad hoc, longitudinal, co-creation, workshops, etc.
You will oversee all aspects of data collection, including survey design, programming, sampling, fieldwork, and analysis. Conducting in-depth analyses of customer data to generate insights that inform business decisions will be another key responsibility. Designing and implementing customer segmentation strategies, as well as identifying opportunities for process improvement within the consumer insights function, will also be part of your duties.
Managing relationships with agencies and partners in a cost-effective manner will require strong negotiation and project management skills. Driving best performance while keeping projects within budget and on time, for primary and secondary market research projects, is crucial. Collaboration with different teams such as Sales, Marketing, Creative, etc., and partnering with internal Sales and Marketing teams to ensure all analytics are executed and meet required standards are essential responsibilities.
